KAJ JE HACKATHON?

Hackathon Hackathon je inovativen način vključevanja kreativnih posameznikov v iskanje in reševanje izzivov vašega podjetja. Vedno več podjetij se zaveda, da je, za uspešno delovanje v radikalno spreminjajočem se poslovnem okolju, Naši hackathoni predstavljajo odgovor na ne le inovativne izzive, s katerimi se podjetja soočajo, temveč tudi na vedno večje kadrovske izzive. Vedno več podjetij se zaveda, da je zagotavljanje proaktivnega kadra ključnega pomena. v radikalno spreminjajočem se poslovnem okolju. In ker je virtualni svet mladim precej bližje in se v njem počutijo bolje, smo skreirali tudi Online hackathon virtualno različico našega tradicionalnega hackathona "v živo".

 


Hackathon "v živo": 36-72 urni dogodek, na katerem sodeluje 50-100 zunanjih in/ali internih tekmovalcev, ki razporejeni v ekipe, ustvarjajo in ob koncu tudi pitchajo svoje rešitve na korporativne izzive.

Online hackathon:  virtualni dogodek, z neomejenim številom tekmovalcev in s časovnico, ki ustreza podjetju (lahko traja 2 dni ali pa 1 mesec). Tekmovalci so razporejeni v ekipe ali pa tekmujejo posamično, da ustvarijo in na koncu predstavijo rešitve na korporativne izzive.

Zakaj delamo hackathone?

Hackathon dvigne energijo in adrenalin ter spodbudi kreativnost vseh zaposlenih. Številni tekmovalci, ki obožujejo izzive, se zberejo z namenom, da najdejo in kreirajo rešitve, ki jih želijo videti v svetu. In to vodi v eno takšno izjemno energijo in pozitiven duh. Verjemite nam na besedo, ko vam rečemo, da je nalezljivo!

Si predstavljate prvi dan hackathona, ko še nimate veliko informacij o sponzorju (podjetju, ki daje izzive) in mogoče niti ne poznate ljudi v ekipi ... ampak že takoj drugi dan na odru razturate predstavitev, ko komisiji predstaviti potencialno profitabilno idejo?! To je hektična in stresna situacija, ki tekmovalce spodbudi, da premikajo meje mogočega in kreirajo neverjetne ideje,in poslovne predloge. Odličen team-building!

To je definitivno eden izmed razlogov zakaj organiziramo hackathone, ampak ni glavni. Medtem ko startupi in študenti obožujejo izzive in priložnosti, da rešujejo kreativne izzive, je zgodba na strani podjetij malo drugačna. Ne želimo, da izgubljajo čas in denar. Hackathoni podjetju prinašajo dodano vrednost internim inovacijskim procesom, ki jih vodijo. So nov način odkrivanja, načrtovanja in testiranja novih idej. Prav tako pa podjetje dobi podrobno analizo in priporočila za nadaljne korake od vsake tekmovalne ekipe.  In nadaljnji koraki so pomembni. Hackathoni so ponavadi le začetek inovativne poti.

Benefits of a hackathon

The nature of hacking challenges promotes an out-of-the-box approach to workflow. Competitive environment, when followed by an attractive prize, helps bring the best solutions in a short period of time. For large organizations in particular, hackathons can be adapted to greatly accelerate the process of digital transformation. They are less about designing new products and more about “hacking” away those old processes and ways of working.

An internal hackathon can uncover latent talent within your organization. The event allows your employees to get out of their daily role and flex their creative muscles. Hosting a hackathon is also recommended if your company needs a different perspective on a problem that they have struggled to solve with traditional approaches.

Good teams usually consist of team members with diverse backgrounds which enables them to challenge each other and come up with new, innovative ideas. For that, they also need good communications skills. So, it is recommended to open applications for the hackathon to everyone (external and internal) and then form diverse teams to give them the best chance.

When hackathons are not only held within the company, but also open to the interested public, they turn into a promotional initiative. This can be used to source new tech talents, recruit programmers, engineers, graphic designers, and other sought-after profiles! Hackathons are the ultimate interview. They give you an opportunity to work directly with potential employees and see who is a good cultural fit.

Employee retention can be another beneficial aspect of hackathons held within a company. Stagnation and a focus on repetitive tasks only are a major reason for employees leaving the company. When presented with an opportunity to broaden their skill set, however, they are inclined to stay in the same company as they are given more than just the pay check. They’re given an opportunity to grow.

It is simple; hackathons are great PR and generate easy but great stories to tell. They also help promote products or services of your company to a broader audience.
